Revit is a software that is used for (BIM) which is Building Information Modeling. Revit is a very good tool for engineers and also architects to design the infrastructure of a building and for us building engineers we would use Revit for Mechanical, Electrical and also Pluming aspects in a building.

• Mechanical side of it Revit would be used to designs HVAC systems like designing ductwork, pipes, and AHUs.
• Electrical side Revit would be used for layout of wiring, lighting and power systems.
• Pluming engineers would use Revit to model water systems and use it to design fire protection systems.

  What I learnt Using Revit

  I now know after using Revit how to create 3D model building like adding walls, floors and also windows and doors . I also know how to make 2D drawing and create floor plans and different sections of 2D buildings. I now know how to also use families and add furniture to buildings and equipment that can be used for Mechanical, Electrical and Heating Engineering. For the layouts of these i can add pipes, circuits and also pipe work.
