Conclusion

Over the two semesters doing the CAD And Energy Performance module I have learned A lot.. One thing I have learned is how to properly navigate Revit. I learned how to model 3D buildings and how to create walls, floors, roofs and also windows and doors. I have also learned how to use family creation as i can now add components like furniture using the family editor.

In IES I have learned how to get thermal analysis. I can check how much heating and cooling loads flow through the buildings fabric . I have also learned how to draw 2D buildings by adding components like furniture and also how to connect walls to each other and add windows and doors. I can now also check if my building is correct by putting the building in 3D form.

Another thing that i have learned in semester two is how to do a BER rating and I got a better understanding on what a BER rating actually is. I have learned how to use DEAP software and how to do the checklist to get a BER rating. I have learned a lot about my house like the type of heating system I use and what brand my boiler is and also have learned a lot about my water system and what i can improve in my home to get a better BER rating and make my house be more eco friendly.

I have also learned how make a poster and minimise my words for the poster information and make the poster easy to follow and make it have useful information. I have also learned how create a website and how to make it appealing to the audience and make it visually appealing.
